Will the WWE RAW General Manager angle be abolished altogether? At least, that’s what the recent reports suggest. The WWE creative team has been stated not to bring the anonymous general manager angle for at least the next few weeks. However, the angle is already dropped or not is yet to be confirmed.

WWE initially had huge plans regarding this anonymous general manager angle, but, with time, the hype around this storyline faded and hence WWE decided to bring the HHH-Vince McMahon storyline. The latter one has worked well with the audiences and hence, WWE is now thinking about scrapping the general manager angle altogether.

Now, the question comes whether the general manager angle will be left and be forgotten or WWE will bring a proper end to the storyline! For the last few weeks, either the WWE RAW general manager podium was set up and was left unused, or, it wasn’t set up at the first place.

WWE superstar Edge has retired from wrestling! No matter, how shocking it may appear to you, but the WWE superstar has announced his retirement last night on RAW. According to Edge, it was his physical condition that is to be blamed for this premature retirement. Doctors advised him against wrestling as doing so may have harmed his health and hence the WWE superstar decided to call it a day. The news came as a big shock for the WWE fans who were not really expecting this! As soon as the news of retirement spread, many former and present WWE superstars started wishing Edge best of luck for his future and also acknowledged his in-ring persona and capabilities. Rey Mysterio has recently been in news for all wrong news. There were speculations about his drift with WWE and that he isn’t interested to stay in WWE anymore. But Mysterio recently tweeted against all these speculations. He confirmed his cordial relationship with WWE family and said he has no plan of quitting WWE or wrestling any soon. He tweeted, “”Those that like me, u will have Rey 4 a good time&those that don’t, well life isn’t always sweet, 619 out!”

A wrestling website recently reported that last Monday, JR might have really injured himself.  He appeared on Raw last week to confront Michael Cole and stand by his friend Jerry “The King” Lawler. Jack Swagger, the personal trainer of Michael Cole for WrestleMania 27, came in and put an ankle lock on JR. Perhaps swagger got a bit too excited following this kayfabe and has perhaps injured JR a little during this act. JR, however, stuck to the storyline as he posted the following on Wednesday in his blog: “”Ankle & knee have stretched ligaments in ankle & knee. Still sore & swollen but will be ok. X-rays aft swelling goes down. Thnx Swagger/cole.”

Vickie Guerrero has recently lost some weight. Recently, she tweeted about her weight loss.  Kayfabe-wise, she is now “fired” from SmackDown and is a part of Raw roaster. Vickie is scheduled for a 6 People Mixed Tag Team match against Snooki, John Morrison and Trish Stratus. Recently Vickie tweeted, “Thanks for the love…I have lost 50 lbs and feel wonderful and strong. I love my trainer! I love the new ME.” She also state that she is not interested to join TNA – “I would never go to TNA…no disrespect to anybody…WWE is my family…period.”

Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan – two of the biggest names of professional wrestling recently involved in a verbal battle. The war of words started when WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was asked about his opinion on another WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. Hart tweeted: “Hogan’s nothing but a two-faced, backstabbing, steroid freak who deserved everything he got.” Hogan didn’t take long to respond to Bret as he tweeted the very next saying,” Listen to where Bret’s speaking from, it’s funny he’s done everything he’s saying I did.” Next came Bret’s lethal slap when he tweeted, “HulkHogan4Real That’s not what John Graziano thinks, dickhead.” John Graziano is the young man who was riding Nick Hogan’s car that meet an accident on August 2007. Graziano is now left permanently brain damaged and his family, after receiving an undisclosed amount of money from Hulk, settled the lawsuit. Now it will be interesting to see what Hogan comes up with.

According to some sources, Jersey Shore star Snooki will be at Raw next week. In recent weeks, WWE superstar John Cena was found trading messages with Snooki on Twitter. There she was found expressing her love for WWE and how eager he is to meet Cena. Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, seems to be in talks with the organization and an appearance deal may have already been struck between them.

Along with “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and HBK Shawn Michaels, WWE has now officially confirmed the name of Tammy “Sunny” Sytch in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2011. Tammy enjoyed most of her success in WWE as “Sunny” from 1995 to 1998. She participated in WrestleMania XXV in 2009 in the 25 Diva Battle Royal for the crown of “Miss WrestleMania”.

Good News for the Bret Hart fans! After a split up with WWE following the much condemned “Montreal Screw Job” and an exile of 12 years from WWE, the brand is again going to see some tricks from the “Excellence of Execution”! The Wrestling Observer has recently that Bret Hart and Vince McMahon’s company have agreed to a short-term deal. His WWE appearance had started in the early days of January 2010 and is going to be continued till April 2010, the month of Wrestlemania.

A preparation had been going on for a few weeks to build the platform and create some hype before bringing Bret “The Hitman” Hart back in WWE. It first started with the guest General Manager of Raw Dennis Miller who was asked by Vincent Kennedy McMahon to name a person who can be the next GM of Raw. Miller, along with support of the Texas fans, named Bret Hart. The signals were clearer when the “Heart Break Kid” Shawn Michaels told Vince if he will bring Bret back, only good things can happen. Finally, Bret returned on WWE as a guest GM and the fans, quite naturally, went crazy. Bret called Shawn and Vince out inside the ring to clear the air. Shawn, currently working as a babyface in the brand, entered and confronted Bret. The ending was something he fans wanted to see for quite long; Bret shaking hands with Shawn! Vince came later and initially played a good guy; but he cheap-shot Bret and left the ring. The stage is now set, and the fans can expect a good storyline from now on to use this small stint of Bret hart to its full.

Shawn Michaels returns to Raw! Sounds unbelievable but it is true! On last Monday, January 10th, 2011; the WWE Universe got a pleasant surprise when the fans heard the HBK entrance music. HBK was greeted to the ring by thousands of cheering fans. The pyro works, the muscle flexing, everything was just the same. HBK took the microphone and was about to say a few words; but he was interrupted by SmackDown’s Alberto del Rio.

Del Rio admitted that Shawn was The Showstopper, The Main Event or Mr. WrestleMania, but now, he is just history. The Spanish grappler addressed himself as the present and future of WWE. He was proud enough to even say that once he wins 2011 Royal Rumble and wins either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship, he will become the new Mr. WrestleMania. This was enough to tickle the vintage HBK as immediately after bullying Shawn, Alberto Del Rio tested some Sweet Chin Music with the fans’ cordial appreciation.

Only a few days back, WrestlerSpeaks reported about HBK’s new deal with WWE. Shawn admitted the new deal and also confirmed that he won’t be wrestling this time but will be promoting the brand.  His presence to Raw was just a confirmation of the deal. HBK is also going to be inducted to WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2011. HBK is, now in the truest sense of the term, a legend!

With Jim Ross’s return, many were asking questions about the future of Michael Cole and WWE RAW announce team. Will the WWE officials decide in favor of a three man announcing team or will Michael Cole be used only for SmackDown? Well, WWE does not seem to be in a mood to let their cleverly created heel character Michael Cole just go. However, with veteran Jim Ross’s return, he cannot be left unused either (We all love his on-mic skills right)?

WWE has decided that all three – Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole will be used for calling RAW. The latest RAW scheduled will have all 3 of them and until any further plans being developed by WWE, they will continue to work together. It will definitely be interesting to see how these three work together especially after the history that Ross-Lawler share with Cole.

JR will not only call RAW LIVE, but WWE has plans of him calling the pay-per-view events as well. In addition, JR may also attend certain promotional events for the company in near future.

Last Monday Night RAW was the first show under Triple H’s direct supervision. The night saw Rey Mysterio defeating The Miz to win the WWE Championship. However, that was not the single championship match that took place that night. Rey Mysterio had to defend his newly won title against John Cena and the match was won by the later. That was not however the end of surprise. CM Punk returned to RAW, only to have a confrontation with John Cena. It seems that a unification match is under its way soon.

In a match that was original taped for WWE Superstars, Santino Marella broke his nose. He was contesting in a tag team match with his partner Chris Masters and their opponents were Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga, the WWE tag team champions.

Sin Cara has been suspended by WWE following the Money In The Bank pay per view event. Cara violated the Wellness Program of WWE and was tested positive when a drug test was conducted. WWE management has prohibited the creative team of involving Cara in any storylines for now. Whether, Cara will be brought back to the company or not depends a lot on Triple H, the new CEO of the company. Sin Cara has a good relationship with Triple H and many believe, after a few months, Cara may get a second chance with WWE.

The WWE universe is abuzz with the possibility of CM Punk leaving WWE. When CM Punk cut his promo on RAW a few weeks ago, the entire WWE universe was stunned. It won’t be wrong to describe this event as something that never ever took place in WWE. After all, many of the rivalries that WWE universe has seen in the past included personal attacks, but none of them really saw some wrestler mentioning name of WWE Creative Head (He actually bashed John Laurinaitis).

However, because of the recent events, it does not seem likely that CM Punk will leave the wrestling company at all. You may ask why, especially after the numerous remarks that Punk made about Vince McMahon, his daughter and son-in law. It however looks like to be a ploy, altogether. Reasons? Here are the ones I could think about:

If you are cutting a real promo describing how much you hate WWE, you don’t need to abuse the fans. CM Punk just did that! He abashed fans who cheered for him and that somehow according to me hints about a cayfabe storyline here.

If Vince McMahon would have really wanted, he could easily fire CM Punk. He did not have any need to bring CM Punk in RAW and lift the suspension based on the words of John Cena (No matter how big a star he is, it is not feasible to believe that he can actually force the owner to keep someone in the company, that’s very much like plotted). Moreover, these entire urge to suddenly sign CM Punk and actually seeking forgiveness from two of the former WWE superstars is a bit exaggerated.

Money In The Bank features this main event between John Cena and CM Punk. If WWE really intended to leave CM Punk out of his contract, why would they consider featuring the same guy in the main event of pay-per-view? WWE is not that kind company to bid such a wonderful farewell to its employees (I hope fans did not forget what Rick Flair did to the company after receiving such a wonderful farewell).

Nothing to panic! John Cena does not have a major injury, but yes, a bit of rest will do good for him. Remember the stipulation that Cena will have to leave WWE if he loses to Punk? John Cena may lose (That’s just a possibility and this article does not say he indeed will) at MITB and CM Punk may be handed over the Championship. That will mean a big boost for the former ROH wrestler and will give WWE the much needed break from its rather crappy storyline of the last few years.

All of these mentioned in this write-up is rather based on prediction only. However, the things really hint towards one thing and that’s what I thought like sharing with the readers of Wrestler Speaks. However, everything will be crystal clear after MITB this Sunday. To conclude with, if CM Punk leaves, that will not only be a big loss for WWE but for the fans as well. Punk is really talented and his in-ring skills are definitely better than most of the superstars out in the company now.

According to recent reports, CM Punk is not keen to renew his WWE contract any further because he believes WWE is not giving proper attention to his in-ring character. For the last 5 years, CM Punk has been a regular member of WWE roster and this decision of CM Punk shocked the wrestling world. Punk reportedly is unhappy because of the push being given to Alberto Del Rio and The Miz over him.

Under such a situation, WWE is negotiating a long term deal with CM Punk and to make the WWE superstar happy, they have even brought Punk’s real-life girlfriend, WWE diva Beth Phoenix to RAW, the promotion with which Punk is associated with.

Bringing a couple together on a promotion is not new practice in WWE as a few years ago; Michelle McCool was brought into Smackdown so that she can spend time with her husband The Undertaker. It is now to be seen whether this move of WWE helps it in signing a new deal with CM Punk or not.
