Controversy never leaves WWE! Recently, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and former Cruiserweight Champion Gregory “The Hurricane” Helms were arrested by the cops at a petrol station in the early hours of last Wednesday ( 27.01.2010) morning. Police accused them of being “extremely intoxicated” in a public place.

The news was first flashed by TMZ, a popular American gossip website. The report stated that Jericho, the 39 year old first ever “Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion” and Gregory Helms, the 35 year old “longest reigning” WWE Cruiserweight Champion were taken into custody in Kenton County, Kentucky at around 5 a.m. for “alcohol intoxication in a public place.” These WWE superstars were questioned, photographed and later released on bail for £75 ($120).

Though they were arrested in a petrol station and were not exactly ‘driving’ while being arrested, the brand they are working for is a bit embarrassed with their wrestlers’ actions. Neither of the superstars or any spokesperson of the brand were available to comment on the incident. WWE is more of an entertainment show these days with a growing popularity among kids; and such an event will certainly not add to the “Mr. Clean” image that the brand puts on or at least strives to!

Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy are out of WWE! This sensational news is yet to be confirmed by the organization officially, but this is the latest buzz around the wrestling universe. Both the wrestlers are seriously considering the idea of quitting WWE, for their own reason.  Jericho had taken a break from wrestling earlier as well and returned a couple of years later. His contract with WWE will end soon and Jericho looks more concerned about his TV and music career. In fact, if rumors are taken to be true, Jericho has already made his final scheduled appearance for the company. Storylinewise, he failed to win the WWE Title and leaving the company to keep up with his word. In fact, he was eliminated within first 90 seconds during his match in Night of Champions, WWE’s last PPV.

Matt Hardy, on the other hand, is out of WWE due to his increasing falling outs with the company. He is quite unhappy with his current status in the organization and feels neglected. He was recently sent back from WWE’s mini UK trip. Initially, Hardy opposed this claim but when WWE officially confirmed the news, he changed his stance through his posts in Twitter. Recently he is dropping heavy hints of ending his long run with WWE and joining his brother Jeff in TNA.
