As each day passes, the John Cena and Rock saga reaches new heights. Recently, John Cena was interviewed by Yahoo! Sports and Cena told the interviewer Dan Gelston that he would do anything to fight The Rock, “I will do anything for that match. If I have to talk more trash about The Rock, I’m your guy.” The Rock, on the other hand, was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly earlier this week where he spoke about returning WWE as WrestleMania 27 host. During that interview, when “The Great One” was asked about his plans with WWE after WrestleMania 27, he said it’s all up in the air; but he would remain attached with the organization. He wants to do a brainstorming session with Vince McMahon and do something on a global scale, something that has never been done yet. Interestingly, he also said that along with hosting, he would love to whop somebody’s ass. Well Cena, are you listening?

WWE Hall of Famer “Hot Rod” Rowdy Roddy Piper came up with a unique idea for WrestleMania 27 in a recent interview. Piper said he has proposed WWE a plan of putting John Cena and The Rock in “Piper’s Pit” at WrestleMania. Though The Rock won’t wrestle anymore, the fans would love to see him meeting John Cena face to face. Piper believes WWE should use people like Rock and himself to entertain the fans on the biggest stage of wrestling instead of bringing starlets like Snooki.

Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan – two of the biggest names of professional wrestling recently involved in a verbal battle. The war of words started when WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was asked about his opinion on another WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. Hart tweeted: “Hogan’s nothing but a two-faced, backstabbing, steroid freak who deserved everything he got.” Hogan didn’t take long to respond to Bret as he tweeted the very next saying,” Listen to where Bret’s speaking from, it’s funny he’s done everything he’s saying I did.” Next came Bret’s lethal slap when he tweeted, “HulkHogan4Real That’s not what John Graziano thinks, dickhead.” John Graziano is the young man who was riding Nick Hogan’s car that meet an accident on August 2007. Graziano is now left permanently brain damaged and his family, after receiving an undisclosed amount of money from Hulk, settled the lawsuit. Now it will be interesting to see what Hogan comes up with.

According to some sources, Jersey Shore star Snooki will be at Raw next week. In recent weeks, WWE superstar John Cena was found trading messages with Snooki on Twitter. There she was found expressing her love for WWE and how eager he is to meet Cena. Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, seems to be in talks with the organization and an appearance deal may have already been struck between them.

Along with “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, “Bullet” Bob Armstrong and HBK Shawn Michaels, WWE has now officially confirmed the name of Tammy “Sunny” Sytch in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2011. Tammy enjoyed most of her success in WWE as “Sunny” from 1995 to 1998. She participated in WrestleMania XXV in 2009 in the 25 Diva Battle Royal for the crown of “Miss WrestleMania”.

In recent times, WWE has taken a fresh, new approach to the weekly shows and pay per views. You can now find new house shows like “WWE Superstars” and “WWE NXT“. Similarly, “Over the Limit” is the promotion’s brand new PPV and it drew some attention as it was the first PPV after this years’ Draft. Now let’s see if it worked or not:

The show began with the Intercontinental Title Match between Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre. Kofi took around six minutes to beat McIntyre and win the title. Drew requested Smackdown GM Teddy Long to reverse the decision. Fortunately for the viewers, that didn’t happen as McIntyre was paid back with his own coin by Matt Hardy, the guy whom Drew savagely beat some weeks ago.

The next match was between R-Truth and Ted DiBiase, accompanied by Virgil yet gain. The match could live up t the expectation and the way Truth managed a pinfall victory; it seemed DiBiase have picked up some sort of injury.

The third match of the night had some good build ups earlier. It was between Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. The stipulation of the match was that if Rey loose, he will join Punk’s Straightedge Society; but if he wins, Punk will have his head shaved. At one point, the match looked pretty boring but the superstars picked it up nicely from there and created a terrific closing sequence. Rey won the match and Brutus Beefcake appeared to shave Punk’s head nearly bald.

The next match was between The Hart Dynasty and the team of The Miz and Chris Jericho. The Canadians won the match after they hit a Hart Attack on Miz and retained their title. This was followed by the match between Randy Orton and Edge. But it seemed Randy picked up an injury during the match and the wrestlers improvised a double count out finish, something that was not a part of the booking.

The match between Big Show and Jack Swagger failed to impress as WWE decided go to with their age old and irritating cop-out finish. Swagger intentionally disqualified himself and had some serious beating from Show. But the fans didn’t the ending at all.

The final match of the night between Dave Batista and WWE Champion John Cena was a good one. Cena forced Dave to say “I Quit” and kept the title. This might well be the last match of Batista as he has plans to retire from professional wrestling soon. When Cena was celebrating his victory, Sheamus showed up and kicked the champ to set the feud.

Since the return of The Rock, WWE Universe has seen one of the hottest feuds in the history of WWE and most interestingly, the two had never been in a wrestling ring ever together. You guessed it right; it’s the Cena-Rock feud prior to WrestleMania 27 this year. It all started when Rock, after his return as WrestleMania 27 host, made fun of John Cena. The tension increased as the verbal battle between the two superstars continued. The speculations of a match between John Cena and The Rock may now also be in the air, particularly after Rock’s recent statement regarding a comeback. He claimed, “I’ve never said never, I’m open to it.”

Survivor Series saw a victorious Randy Orton against Wade Barrett last night. This result certainly has made most of the WWE Universe happy, but this result also means Cena will now be fired. As per the current storyline, Wade Barrett forced Cena to help him win his first WWE Championship as the master of Thuganomics is now under the control of Nexus. Barrett had told him before the PPV that if he wins the WWE Title, Cena will be set free, but if Orton wins, he’ll make sure Cena is fired.

The storyline slowly picked up interest among the WWE fans. The match certainly was not a classic encounter; but a well-measured performance by all three superstars.  Barrett was in control and hit his finishing move Wasteland to Orton. But Randy grabbed the ropes before Cena could count three. John had called the match fairly all along. But barrett’s failed attempt to pin Randy and shoved Cena. John shoved him back and as he turned randy hit him with RKO.

Now this stipulation of being “fired” is just a part of the storyline. John Cena is going nowhere.  There is no injury, call from Hollywood or rival promotion joining going on here.  The story angle is clearly not over and thus WWE expects a good rating for the upcoming RAW.

Last Monday Night RAW was the first show under Triple H’s direct supervision. The night saw Rey Mysterio defeating The Miz to win the WWE Championship. However, that was not the single championship match that took place that night. Rey Mysterio had to defend his newly won title against John Cena and the match was won by the later. That was not however the end of surprise. CM Punk returned to RAW, only to have a confrontation with John Cena. It seems that a unification match is under its way soon.

In a match that was original taped for WWE Superstars, Santino Marella broke his nose. He was contesting in a tag team match with his partner Chris Masters and their opponents were Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga, the WWE tag team champions.

Sin Cara has been suspended by WWE following the Money In The Bank pay per view event. Cara violated the Wellness Program of WWE and was tested positive when a drug test was conducted. WWE management has prohibited the creative team of involving Cara in any storylines for now. Whether, Cara will be brought back to the company or not depends a lot on Triple H, the new CEO of the company. Sin Cara has a good relationship with Triple H and many believe, after a few months, Cara may get a second chance with WWE.

The WWE universe is abuzz with the possibility of CM Punk leaving WWE. When CM Punk cut his promo on RAW a few weeks ago, the entire WWE universe was stunned. It won’t be wrong to describe this event as something that never ever took place in WWE. After all, many of the rivalries that WWE universe has seen in the past included personal attacks, but none of them really saw some wrestler mentioning name of WWE Creative Head (He actually bashed John Laurinaitis).

However, because of the recent events, it does not seem likely that CM Punk will leave the wrestling company at all. You may ask why, especially after the numerous remarks that Punk made about Vince McMahon, his daughter and son-in law. It however looks like to be a ploy, altogether. Reasons? Here are the ones I could think about:

If you are cutting a real promo describing how much you hate WWE, you don’t need to abuse the fans. CM Punk just did that! He abashed fans who cheered for him and that somehow according to me hints about a cayfabe storyline here.

If Vince McMahon would have really wanted, he could easily fire CM Punk. He did not have any need to bring CM Punk in RAW and lift the suspension based on the words of John Cena (No matter how big a star he is, it is not feasible to believe that he can actually force the owner to keep someone in the company, that’s very much like plotted). Moreover, these entire urge to suddenly sign CM Punk and actually seeking forgiveness from two of the former WWE superstars is a bit exaggerated.

Money In The Bank features this main event between John Cena and CM Punk. If WWE really intended to leave CM Punk out of his contract, why would they consider featuring the same guy in the main event of pay-per-view? WWE is not that kind company to bid such a wonderful farewell to its employees (I hope fans did not forget what Rick Flair did to the company after receiving such a wonderful farewell).

Nothing to panic! John Cena does not have a major injury, but yes, a bit of rest will do good for him. Remember the stipulation that Cena will have to leave WWE if he loses to Punk? John Cena may lose (That’s just a possibility and this article does not say he indeed will) at MITB and CM Punk may be handed over the Championship. That will mean a big boost for the former ROH wrestler and will give WWE the much needed break from its rather crappy storyline of the last few years.

All of these mentioned in this write-up is rather based on prediction only. However, the things really hint towards one thing and that’s what I thought like sharing with the readers of Wrestler Speaks. However, everything will be crystal clear after MITB this Sunday. To conclude with, if CM Punk leaves, that will not only be a big loss for WWE but for the fans as well. Punk is really talented and his in-ring skills are definitely better than most of the superstars out in the company now.

Finally folks!!! It’s gonna happen!!!! “The People’s Champ”, the “Brahma Bull”, The Rock will back in the ring again. The Hollywood actor and former WWE Champion has decided to return to the ring one more time against the superstar of the new generation John Cena. This dream match will take place in WrestleMania 28.

The Rock was the host for WrestleMania 27 this year. Long back, John Cena expressed his feelings in a British tabloid about The Rock’s decision of leaving WWE for his acting career. WWE creative team used this event to create a verbal feud between John Cena and The Rock after the “Brahma Bull” returned to a WWE ring after 7 years.  The way the feud kept on going, the WWE Universe assumed something’s coming. The guesses got a firm base when The Miz managed to pin John Cena in WrestleMania 27 after The Rock hit Cena with the “Rock bottom”.  The fans were almost sure that this incident carries a greater significance.

But even the most hardcore of fans never though his/her dream would come true so soon. The very next night after WrestleMania 27, there was a face to face verbal battle between Cena and The Rock where Cena challenged “The Great One” for a match. The fans went crazy when Rocky accepted the challenge for WrestleMania 28. The Rock said WrestleMania 28 will be “People’s Mania” and he will collide with Cena there.  This is the very first time when WWE creative team decided to announce a WrestleMania event one year advance. It won’t be easy to maintain the hype for one long year. So it will be interesting to see how things shape up a year later.

This year, WWE’s grandest Pay per View, WrestleMania 27 was hosted at The Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The show opened with Justin Roberts welcoming the crowd to the show and introducing Keri Hilson who sang “America the Beautiful”.

World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (Champ) vs. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio didn’t get much of fan reaction as he entered the ring. Brodus Clay was at ringside to accompany the Mexican wrestler. Edge was interrupted by Brodus Clay but managed to grab a victory by hitting a spear on Del Rio.  Winner: Edge

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes

This match saw Rey Mysterio in an extravagant outfit that resembled the costume of Captain America. But his performance in the match was not as heroic as the comic book hero. Mysterio was hit by “Cross Rhodes” and was pinned by Cody resulting in his defeat on the biggest stage of the year.  Winner: Cody Rhodes

Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston & Santino Marella vs. The Corre

The unlikely team of Big Show, Kane, Kofi and Santino pulled out the shortest match of this year’s WrestleMania. Big Show hit Heath Slater with a KO punch and easily pinned him.  Winners: Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston & Santino Marella

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

This was the “dark horse” bout of the night. There was no title involved and still the match drew some serious attention of the WWE fans present in the arena. Randy started as the crown favorite but Punk fought brilliantly with some good old wrestling maneuvers. He, however, lost the match after being hit by the RKO.  Winner: Randy Orton

Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler

This was significant for two reasons. Firstly,  it was the first WrestleMania match for Jerry “the King” Lawler. Secondly, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was the guest referee in this match. The result of this match was almost certain as Austin was in support of “the good guy” Lawler. Lawler won the match by putting the ankle lock on Cole who gave up the match by tapping out.  But later the anonymous GM of Raw handed the match over to Cole. Winner: Michael Cole

The Undertaker vs. Triple H

This was the biggest attraction of the night. Both men got huge response from the fans as they entered the ring. Taker was at his very best and so was Triple H. The Phenom was repeatedly hit by Triple H only to kick out during the pinfall. Finally, he applied Hell’s Gate on Triple H who succumbed to Taker’s hold and was forced to tap out.  Winner: The Undertaker

Trish Stratus, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi & John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool

This was a kind of “WWE-Glamour world collaboration” match.  Snooki was the key attraction of the matchup. She successfully charmed the audience with her wrestling moves and her team managed to grab the victory by pinning Michelle McCool. Winners: John Morrison, Trish Stratus & John Morrison

WWE Championship: The Miz (Champ) vs. John Cena

This match was on under scanner as many fans wanted to check the ability of The Miz on the biggest show of this business. Miz impressed the audience and put on a good show. Initially, Miz held the tile as both competitors were counted out. But later, The Rock entered and restarted the match. Cena was hit by a huge Rock Bottom and Miz cashed in the opportunity. He crawled over Cena managed a victory by pinfall.  Winner: The Miz
