Bret Hart’s affection for his younger brother is a well-known phenomenon in the wrestling world and Bret stated several times how much he misses his brother. Hart decided to leave WWE in 1997 after the infamous “Montreal Screw job” took place.

Hart was recently interviewed by The Sun and he made it very clear there that he wanted Owen “The Rocket” Hart to join WCW with him. Owen was reluctantly agreed to his brother’s wish as well but Eric Bischoff, the WCW supremo those days, didn’t want The Rocket to be a part of his show. He even said The Rocket could only be successful in a currently defunct Atlanta-based wrestling organization. As a result, Owen had to stay back in WWE. He continued to shine in WWE, though as a mid-carder until a tragic accident cut his life short in 1999. During a PPV in Kansas City, his entrance stunt tragically went wrong and he fell from 78 feet high safety harness and landed chest-first on the top rpoe. He was immediately treated by the paramedics and rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Hart said Owen used to discuss every small thing with him as long as Bret was in WWE. So Bret could help him out in all sorts of issues, both professional and personal. Bret also stressed that had he been in WWE, he would always advise Owen against that stunt and Owen would certainly have listened to him. Bret had opposed Owen’s wife Martha recently as the latter wanted WWE to erase anything and everything that bears the memory of Owen “the Rocket” Hart, the wrestler. Bret was vocal as he believed that will be like killing the legacy of Owen Hart, a man who loved his profession.

The wrestling legend Bret “the Hitman” Hart has left WWE and at the same time his brother Owen Hart’s widow has dragged Vince McMahon and his company to court. It’s quite some time since Bret and Vince has solves their 12 year long ego-clash and this time, Bret and WWE happily parted their ways. In fact, Bret was very happy with his role as the new Raw GM and wanted to contribute to WWE’s storyline. But this time, the problem was caused by his insurance company.

London’s famous insurance broker Lloyds paid out to Bret Hart as his career was cut short after a series of concussions he suffered inside the WCW ring. But recently, Bret got physically involved in several WWE matches and house shows. He had a fight with Vince in Wrestlemania XXVI. He has also won the United States Championship since his return to WWE. But in both occasions, his physical involvement has been very limited. On last Monday’s Raw, he was “brutally” attacked by the NXT Rookies. But Lloyds were not happy with Bret getting involved in any kind of physical confrontation. Bret, therefore, decided to say good bye once again. As a result, the current storyline was changed in the last minute after “Fatal 4 Way” pay per View and Vince “Fired” Bret on Raw during the on air storyline. Fans will certainly be upset with Hart’s release.

But the next “Hart-attack” took place when Martha Hart, the widow of Owen Hart, launched a lawsuit against Vincent Kennedy McMahon, Linda McMahon and WWE. She said in a statement that since Owen’s premature death 11 years ago, she worked hard to make it sure that their children are protected from WWE and its activities. She wanted to disassociate his husband’s name and likeness from anything related to the promotion to put their kids away from any possible indication of the circumstances that surrounded their father’s death. But she said that she was shocked to see WWE using Owen’s name and likeness in websites, videos and print materials. Owen died a premature death in 1999 when he fell from a harness in which he was making a special entrance during a Pay-per-View. Hart family sued WWE successfully and received an $18 million settlement. Martha said it was a “callous, insensitive and irresponsible behavior” and asks questions about the “moral character” of Vince and Linda McMahon. Linda is currently running for Senate in Connecticut and this, certainly, was not a positive campaign for her.

Vince McMahon must a very satisfied man to see after so many years of disagreement and disbelief; Bret “The Hitman” Hart is, indeed, re-united with his old friend and his company as he lashes Martha Hart, the widow of Owen Hart for her attempt to sue WWE recently. Martha is planning to sue WWE as she thinks the company is breaking a mutual agreement by using Owen’s likeness, particularly on the DVD “Hart and Soul” that documents the careers of the Hart family members.

Bret Hart was re-united with WWE after 12 years and was recently functional as the general manager of WWE Raw. But he gave up his contract with WWE recently after an apparent problem with his insurance company. Hart blasted in his official Facebook page as he said he finds it ridiculous when somebody thinks he/she is “serving the best interests of Owen’s memory or his children to pretend he wasn’t a wrestler.” He emphasized that Owen was not just a wrestler but a great one and was proud of it. He believes that Martha hart has done nothing to keep his memory alive which makes Owen’s memories fade away a little more every year.

“I believe Owen would turn in his grave watching Martha erase every single thing he ever did, all for spite”, said Bret. According to him, he didn’t speak Martha or Owen’s kids for more than 10 years now and Bret believes Martha should celebrate her husband’s memory as much as possible and not block it away forever. Bret feels Owen’s death was an accident and his death doesn’t mean the legacy from Stu Hart, Bret’s father, to his wrestling sons and grandchildren has to die too.

Bret has also said that had it been possible, he would have taken Owen’s kids to the backstage and introduced them to all the people whom their father has worked with to show how much they love and remember their father. He said Martha’s decision of keeping the kids away from the people and the job their father loved is “sad and pathetic”.

Owen died in a tragic accident in 1999 when a ring entrance stunt went wrong.
